A paradox about the set of definable real numbers and self-reference.
We can list all English descriptions of real numbers. Consider the diagonal number: if the nth decimal of the nth number is d, make our diagonal's nth digit d+1. This defines a new number not on the list, yet the list should contain all definable numbers.
