The phenomenon where group cohesion leads to poor decision-making through conformity pressure.
Highly cohesive groups, seeking consensus and harmony, often make worse decisions than individuals would. Members suppress dissent, fail to consider alternatives, and ignore external information. Unity becomes dysfunction.
